Southern HK Island

After 4 months of travelling around HK, I can say that almost every accessible area has been cover.
Looking at the map, it seems that only the southern coast of HK island would be interesting enough to hike.

So picking up my bag, here goes 15hrs of walking.

The jumbo harbour, where u take a small boat to the popular Jumbo for seafood.
Might be a good place to bring my parents to.

Yup, the ride there is part of HK famous Ocean Park.

Guess I am too old for such stuff.

Repulse Bay.

In search of the bikini haven.

with futile effort....

Where are all the HK babes~~!!!

But I like these architectures, like how they are built according the moutainous terrain. 依山而建.

Imagine staying at such a place.

A temple for the seafaring people.

And I found out why HK is named HK during this trip. Basically. Ang Moh came to the soutern part of HK island which was locally named 香港村, then Ang Moh thought the whole island called 香港, so name it 香港.

Later the area of 香港村 was renamed 香港仔, which is also called Aberdeen now.

Alot of scultures and statues.

Quite scary at night when I was about to leave the place.

觀音像.

I was getting tired, and it was getting dark.
(There was a longer story to it.)

So I saw a chair out of nowhere on some rocky coast, and I took out my potato chips and map to plan my route back.

Enjoying the scenery, I sat there for 1 hr.

The mysterious chair from nowhere.

Maybe someone jumped from this chair ~~~~

(Hey, there is something behind you.)

GZ Trip - Going Home Soon

First up, the origin of this trip. While I was playing wahjong in HKU main library, waiting for the next lesson, I got struck by an sudden burst of innate calling from within. The next moment, I was packing my bagpack for the tour the next day.

So here am I, crossing the ShenZhen border for the first time alone, at about 7am.

About ShenZhen, it is rumoured as a dangerous place to HongKong-ers, with thugs and pick pockets everywhere, stabbing people to death after taking your money.

Terrified by the hearsay, I bought my Guangzhou ticket immediately after crossing the border.

Fast forward ==> Hey, I am at GZ now, in the MTR station!

The mighty MTR token~~

Who can tell me what did we used before transit link card in SG MRT?

Bo Lo Pao at RMB$0.70.

thats like SGD$0.15

GZ noodle, still not very used to it. Taste alright tho, but the store very rundown.

I went to book the hostel at 7pm and fell asleep almost immediately cos i was too shag. Then I woke up at 11pm. Then went to bar hopping at bar street.

Din knew that the hostel was actually situated just at the end of Bar Street. Lucky me. :)

So I walk down the street and see which bar was more interesting b4 I ordered a drink.

The best thing is that there is no entrance fee~~

1 of the bars.

There is about 6-8 bars down the street.

Recommended if anyone going GZ next time.

But going to bars alone is pretty boring. Chilling out with friends here would be really ejoyable.

Inside one of the bar.

Singer, average standard.

Lamborgani. (Lazy to check spelling.)

Not very nice, SG one confirm better.

And the popular dice game that I still duno how to play. The red color thingy.

My hostel, 65RMB if I remember correctly.

The amazing mini size Naruto Comic.

Imagine it.

Regret not buying more of it.

A good book to bring to toilet. :p

Back at ShenZhen, preparing to cross the border.

2 pairs of new shoes bought just beside the Bar Street, $50RMB each.

Video inside the bar.

Random Pics

My favourite cap currently, 2 more new ones fighting to be 1st though.

林嘉欣 in HKU, giving some talk about acting. I suppose she was in some acting club when she was in HKU.

Finally a popular actress in HK.

The 1st celebrity was 伊子維.

Real life not as pretty, think the poster pic much prettier.

After her talk, I went to the library. There I saw a really pretty girl, the most beautiful girl I seen in HK yet.

Come to think of it, I should have took a pic with her. Meh.

April High Table Dinner.

Peter. Damn big guy.

April High Table Dinner.

The one on the left is me.

The girl beside is from korea, then the next 1 is shine, and the next Graham.

Horse Racing

Finally went to the famous site for HK's favourite activity: Horse Racing.

With the same group as Lantau Island Trip.
Joel, Mok, XXX.

My only winning ticket.

I bet on 5 races, but only won 1, which was my 1st bet. However, the great odds of it and my self-control made me an overall winner for the night. : )

People mountain people sea.

The horses were too fast for my lousy camera.

Random pics grabbed from my roommate, Mok.

Drunk duck basking.

Lantau island trip, where we coincidently met (shit.. I forgot her name..she better not see this)

From what I heard, almost all roommates are not on good terms, like not talking to each other at all.

I wonder why? But me and johnny seems pretty alright leh. We help dabao meals outside, and even play dota together.

Maybe games are not anti-social activities after all. Gamer FTW.

Lantau Island - 天壇大佛

After eating dim-sum at YauMaTei on a random Sunday, we set off for Lantau Island.

I have been thinking of going, but my body inertia force was too great to pull myself to travel such great across the sea.

Anyway, Joel, Mok, and ??? (shit, I forget again..)

While on the cable car.

3 days after the cable ride, I happened to see a small article on the newspaper, saying that the the cable jammed for like 4 hrs, with ppl stucked in it, due to some technical problem.

Imagine the fun if we got the chance to experience it.

This place is a total tourist spot, lots of related merchandise and fully commercialised.

I always tot this popular site was a place of worship.

After visiting the museum, then I found out that this place was initially planned as a tourism spot, by building the biggest bronze buddha sculpture.

I forgot when, but it was built only recently.

Both Mok and the other friend brought their super pro camera, and started their shooting spree.

So I join in the fun.

Another arty shot attempt.

with my lousy 5 megapixel camera.

but good pictures are about good eye for the picture layout though, good camera only enhances it. thats what the pro says.

THE LEGENDARY 旦旦面!!

Recommended by ShaoPeng, but I never see them anywhere in HK till now!!

What SP told me was that it is noodles with peanut butter... and I was like duh... where got ppl eat noodles with peanut butter...

jit wah mee bua peanut butter~~!

But it was really quite nice, but gets 膩 very quickly.

Not sure if it was the same night, since my pictures are pretty messed up now.

Anyway, there was band performance by the Sassoon Rd halls, just like our XXX Mui Seng?? Night(I forgot my hall road name).

All I can say is... I suddenly appreciated our hall Inspire, Rocker alot more, like about ten-fold.
